“How would i know, axcle is bent from the accident” i argued.
He spoke stuff, which is tamil. thats the only language he know, English is all i could speek. So you can imagine the argument.
“……pay 350 for axcle” he said.
obviouly i am not gonna pay without trying to talk him out of it.
It was a old bike, that what i mentioned to him.
“Ittss a old bikeee…” i said (implying 350 is too much for it.)
“soo what, old is gold you know”: him
“…..aa a a old is WAste…” yes thats what i said, there is no way i meant that. my intentions was propably to hurt him or prove him wrong and definitely not to win the argument. coz, complete display of disregard to his sentiments and disrespecting him is not how you win a argument.
Eaither i didnot consider it as esteemed arugument and not paying 350 was my only goal or blab my way out of it. eaither way i shouldn’t have said that. I know it hurt him.
I did agree to pay him 350, in return to transprot my cycle to a repair shop. Which he it generosly, My cycle was unmovable. I was on road, on right a car horned and went by, Cycle turned left little to hard. and hit his stationary bike.
We both share one confusion tho, how did the accident that felt feeble, completely mingled my back tire. when i hit his bike with front, side ways lets just say. His bike relatevely looked intact, the other guy may disagree.
On our way we calm down a bit and he mentioned, how he transport his kids to and back home from school. and that old bike is all he had. i agreed its importance, but i don’t know it convayed. He also mentioned, how he and his daughter has some eye issue. relatable thing is, he said he was hungry and apologised for be angry, so nice of him. He handed over repair of the cycle to know person he know, his guru appraently. For a charge ofcourse.
letting him know about all this is only way i know how to deal with this, so i did on a call.
