LIke a Snail, You See (Poem)

Like a snail, you see
I know her not more than what you see
She has good taste in clothes
Classy and modern
As she will be seen
I like the way she dress
Can’t say same about her body and face
There is play around the corner
Those who act, sir together
At a common hall, we feast
Where we usually meet.
Me and her are odd once
Me and her never shared a word
Like I do with rest of the group
We all shared stage, sometime in the past
I ever only speak two words
Hello and bye
Contrary to what she does
She speaks a lot

Most of it make no sense
Thinking out loud, you can call it
I like her as much as I do a snail
One day play ended
I was at hall the next day
I see no group around, around I see
Usually crowd, usually chatter
I see her on wall side of table
Plenty empty table around
Still, I choose to brush her shoulder
As I parade the tight corridor, hello I said
She looked around and wonder why was I there
She looked at me and wonder why I was there
As she wonder on what’s the perpous
I never looked at her twice
Tho I looked around
Like she never existed.
She spoke no word entire time
She let me dance in my silence
As I feast on delicious sweets
Usual business to me
Ending my lunch
I looked at her plate and at her
Looks like she completed her lunch
A while back

“Completed your lunch” she said
And we depart to clean plates
Immediately waves crashed in my head
What a poor soul, she must have thought
This man needs a company, for the sake of it,
She must have thought
I must hold this fort against his emptiness,
She must have thought.
She waited until my lunch is over
Or she had nothing on her mind
But, if she did
How kind of her
If I did interpret her properly
It felt like diving into a clear cold pond
How kind of her.
